Burnett's Boards
We've formed a creative partnership with Sara Burnett, the owner and editor of Burnett's Boards. Sara has created new course material on that ever-so-important marketing tool for wedding planners and designers today – the inspiration board. In less than a year, Sara created a successful blog in the saturated bridal blogosphere that today rivals the traffic of other, more established blogs. One aspect of Burnett’s blog, and the courses she teaches in Hawaii where her business is based, is that of inspiration boards. Sara’s video will cover many elements of this art form such as how to work with wedding clients in the first step of inspiration generation, source images, and how to format, create, credit and then share these boards.
Sara has so much to share with our students and her blog is the perfect place to go to if you are in need of inspiration. She has positioned herself as an expert in the field of inspiration boards. She has been very successful in business and in marketing, making her the ideal person from which our students can learn.
Wedding Industry Experts

This year we have once again partnered with Wedding Industry Experts to support the Wedding Industry Experts Awards for 2013. This is a great partnership as WIE have a couple of different strings to their bow. As well as running the awards they also have a panel of industry experts in a number of fields, and every week they ask them a question related to the operation of their business or their specific area of expertise. This information is then compiled into report format and available for those interested. This content is not readily available from any other source which makes it an invaluable tool.
On top of this they also offer a Peer Verification System for Expert Status. This service helps couples identify wedding professionals who are trusted and respected by their peers. Gaining Expert Status is the ultimate mark of respect for your abilities and professionalism because it has been awarded to you by other wedding vendors who have nothing to gain by acknowledging your expertise.
Sasha Souza
Sasha Souza is an internationally acclaimed wedding and event designer and author of Signature Sasha: Magnificent Weddings by Design. She is the recipient of numerous industry awards and was also named by Modern Bride magazine as a “Top 25 Trendsetters” in the wedding design industry. Sasha is a regularly featured media celebrity wedding and event designer and she is a regular speaker for Event Solutions, Eventology and ISES events. Her speaking engagements have even taken her as far as Tokyo, Japan to speak about the hottest trends in event design.
Sasha has partnered with WEI to produce a 10-part course aimed at professionals who want to take their business the next level and become a Certified Wedding Designer (CWD).
